Author profile
Koji Murata
Born in 1964 in Kobe City. He graduated from Doshisha University Faculty of Law. He completed his doctoral course at Kobe University Graduate School of Law. He is a Ph.D. (Political Science). He studied abroad at George Washington University, served as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Comprehensive Sciences at Hiroshima University, and as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Law at Doshisha University, before becoming a professor at the Faculty of Law at Doshisha University in 2005. From 2013 to 2016 he served as president of Doshisha University. His publications include ``Presidential Failure: The Carter Administration's U.S. Forces Korea Withdrawal Policy'' (winner of the Hiroshi Shimizu Award from the American Academy of American Studies and the Suntory Academic Award), ``History of Japan's Postwar Diplomacy'' (co-author, winner of the Shigeru Yoshida Prize), and ``Trump vs. Biden''. ``Between ``Cold Civil War'' and ``Twenty Years of Crisis'''', ``Movies Are Always ``Rooms with a View'': A Political Scientist's Cinema Essay'', etc.
