"Towada Lake Water Festival" is a 100th anniversary of the death of Omachi Katsugetsu, which will brighten up the beautiful night sky of
Lake Towada. It will be held on June 14th and 15th, 2025!

The Towada Lake Water Festival, which is held annually in Lake Towada, Aomori Prefecture, has been decided to be held on Saturday, June 14th and Sunday, June 15th, 2025. This event marks its 60th anniversary this year and is a special festival to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Omachi Katsugetsu's death . The purpose of this book is to remember Katsugetsu Omachi, who loved Lake Towada and worked hard to designate it as a national park, and to praise his achievements, as well as to reaffirm the beauty of Lake Towada.

"Balloon lantern" and "Night Cruise" for fun views

At this year's Towada Lake Water Festival, balloon lanterns can be released into the sky at once, with the wishes of each and every participant, and the orange and blue lights will fantastically color the night sky over Towada Lake. Additionally, we also offer a "Lake Towada Night Cruise" where you can enjoy the beautiful view from the lake. The 50-minute night sailing will allow you to spend a special moment while watching the balloon lanterns and fireworks.

"Message Fireworks" to deliver the feelings of participants and synchronized music and fireworks show

In "Message Fireworks," the narrator reads out the participants' important messages, and then the fireworks are fired. It's an inspiring experience that allows you to deliver a message to someone special through fireworks. The event's finale will also feature a roughly five-minute show in sync with select music and fireworks, providing an impressive evening for participants.

Recruiting performers and sponsors for the "Towada Lake Water Festival"

We are looking for performers who wish to appear in the event. The performance will be held on Saturday, June 14th and Sunday, June 15th, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 7:00pm, with each performance taking approximately 20 minutes. The performers are photographed by photographers, providing memorable opportunities. We also plan to start recruiting sponsors and food and beverage vendors starting in May.
