The appeal of Tsunan sake to Japanese sake fans both in Japan and abroad
is also being considered for expansion into the Taiwanese market.
Tsunan Brewery Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tsunan Town, Nakauonuma District, Niigata Prefecture; CEO: Suzuki Kengo) exhibited at the Niigata Sake No Jin 2025, one of Japan's largest sake events, held from March 8th to 9th, 2025, and many visitors both in Japan and abroad experienced Tsunan sake.
In particular, the premium sake "GO GRANDCLASS Uonuma Koshihikari Edition," which uses 100% Koshihikari from Uonuma, one of Japan's leading rice-producing rice, attracted a great response, and all 84 bottles of 720ml tasting were consumed.
"GO GRANDCLASS Uonuma Koshihikari Edition" is very popular!

At Tsunan Brewery's booth, "GO GRANDCLASS Uonuma Koshihikari Edition" attracted the attention of visitors. This product is a pure rice daiginjo sake that brings out the sweetness and flavor of the rice that Uonuma-grown Koshihikari rice has to the fullest, and its mellow aroma and smooth mouthfeel have been highly praised by many sake enthusiasts.
In many cases, people who have finished tasting will visit again, and the items they had prepared sold out on the first day. It was so popular that all the additional restocks were sold out on the second day. Many visitors commented, "It's very tasty" and "It has a taste that stands out from other sake."
With the view of expanding into the Taiwanese market - exchange opinions with local stakeholders

On the first day, members of Fukuhaku Sake, which is working to promote sake in the Taiwanese market, visited the Tsunan Brewery booth and exchanged opinions on future developments. We discussed how to convey the water that is unique to Tsunan Town's heavy snowy areas and the appeal of sake brewing that makes use of local resources to the Taiwanese market, and confirmed the possibility of product development that suits Taiwan's tastes.
Since snow is rare in Taiwan, it is expected that the story of sake, which makes use of Tsunan's rich natural environment and melted snow water, will likely resonate with local consumers. In the future, we plan to consider specific development plans and work towards developing overseas markets.
Future outlook: Promoting the appeal of sake both domestically and internationally, focusing on fermentation culture
Tsunan Brewery is expanding its horizons not only in Japan but also in overseas markets through its exhibit at Niigata Sake No Jin 2025. With the brand concept of "Brew for Future - Brewing a coexist future," we aim to create new value by combining local resources and science.
In the future, we will continue to actively develop our markets to convey the appeal of Tsunan sake to domestic and international consumers, whilst preserving the traditions of sake.
