【stop! Special fraud] J:COM and the Metropolitan Police Department work together!
Tsunoda Natsumi warns him with a tomoe throw, the first joint declaration on cable television!
J:COM Tokyo Co., Ltd. (J:COM, head office: Nerima-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Kunibune Takao) has collaborated with the Metropolitan Police Department (Special Fraud Countermeasures Headquarters) to declare its support for the "Stop! Fraud" movement in order to protect the safety and security of local residents from the victims of special fraud. This declaration is the first time a cable television operator has made its efforts. A joint declaration was issued on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025.
The sense of crisis about the serious damage to special fraud and the mission of J:COM
As a locally rooted company, J:COM aims to create a city where everyone can live in peace. Given the current situation in recent years, special fraud has been increasing among working generations under the age of 60, we will further strengthen our cooperation with the Metropolitan Police Department and actively implement public relations and awareness activities aimed at zero damage to special fraud.
Supervised by the Metropolitan Police Department! A awareness video recreating fraud techniques
In order to strengthen caution against special fraud methods, we produced a video produced and appeared by J:COM employees under the supervision of the Metropolitan Police Department. The VTR, which recreates the scam method of police officers, will be broadcast and streamed sequentially on "Jimoto Topics" and "Jimoto Topics Plus (Tokyo)" on J:COM's community channel "J:COM Channel" (digital terrestrial broadcasting 11ch) starting Saturday, March 29th.
Gold medalist Tsunoda Natsumi appears! Special fraud eradication event held

On the day of the joint declaration, we collaborated with the Metropolitan Police Department and the Metropolitan Police Department's Mitsugaoka Police Station (Police Chief: Kuratani Yoshiki) to hold a talk show on the theme of "transfer fraud that involves police officers," which has been causing damage to a wide range of generations as a new fraud scheme.
As a special guest, we invited Kakuta Natsumi, a 48kg judo gold medalist, to learn about the situation of fraud and preventive measures along with the audience. He also demonstrated "Tomoe Throw," which is synonymous with Tsunoda, and called on visitors to be wary of special fraud.
Tsunoda was shocked by the large number of damages and the new methods of fraud.

In response to the situation of the number of fraud victims, Tsunoda recalled his own experiences, saying, "I had received a scam call against the police that said that my account was being used for crimes using the same method as a recreational video. I was also with a friend, so I told him I would consult with a police officer I knew, and I was able to hang up the phone." He replied with his own experiences, saying, "I search once for incoming calls, but I was surprised to hear that there was a scam that misrepresents the actual police station's phone number. If I receive suspicious calls to my family or friends, I would like to calm down, check the other person's affiliation and name, hang up the phone, and tell the police that I will consult with the police." He called on visitors to be careful, with determination not to be fooled by the scam.
Metropolitan Police Department Special Fraud Prevention Advisor
J:COM received the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's "Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Special Fraud Prevention Advisor" in April 2023, and has been promoting measures to protect customers from the victims of fraud, which has become a social issue.
In addition to providing services aimed at preventing crime, such as the "Automatic Blocking Service for Unsolicited Phones" and the "J:COM PHONE" optional services that help reduce damage, we also work with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to promote public relations and awareness-raising activities to raise the awareness of crime prevention in the community, such as distributing flyers and stickers to warn special fraud.
