Full of highlights! A special day in Asakusa
The first special collaboration event between Kawa Asakusa x Seiko Kitagawa x Irodori Photo Asakusa x Popular Theater will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024 in Asakusa, which has the atmosphere of the Edo period . At this event, where you can enjoy both stage performances and Oiran Dochu, you can experience the essence of entertainment that combines tradition and innovation.
At the morning stage performance, enjoy the splendid dance and drama performed by performers wearing luxurious costumes. After the show, a performance called "Oiran Dochu" takes place in the streets of Asakusa, transporting the audience back in time to the Edo period.

Afternoon: The gorgeous “Oiran Dochu”
- Time : Starts around 15:45 on Saturday, December 7th
- Route : In front of Asakusa Mokubakan ~ In front of Don Quijote Asakusa store ~ Asakusa Mokubakan
- Highlights : Realistic reproductions of Edo-period courtesans parade through the streets of Asakusa with luxurious decorations.
A new type of music that mixes tradition and modernity, “Hatauta”, is also available!
The songs used at the event are "SAWAGI 2024" and "ASAKUSA MAIRI," which are modern arrangements of Edo period hata songs.
- SAWAGI 2024 : Arranged song of “Sawagi”, which was popular among geishas playing in tatami rooms
- ASAKUSA MAIRI : An original hauta song from the Asakusa area with Edo period lyrics and Reiwa version added.
The music is supervised by SADA, a bass player who is attracting attention both domestically and internationally. The liveliness of hauta is expressed through modern rock and EDM.

Asakusa Kawa
Asakusa Kowa is a new style dance theater that combines Edo tradition and modern sensibilities. The show captivates the audience with its gorgeous costumes and colorful performances.
