About the new TV commercial “It started from here”
Under the slogan "Challenge and Change," the SUENAGA Group aims to be a group that enjoys challenges and change. The theme of this commercial is "Challenge". Five years after being reborn as a group company, the SUENAGA Group continues to ``challenge'' every day, and has chosen Mr. Suzuka, who is from Okayama Prefecture and is making great strides by ``challenging'' in various works mainly in the acting industry, to be used in a commercial for the same time as last year. .
The new commercial ``It Started Here'' was filmed in Okayama Prefecture, the hometown of the SUENAGA group and Suzuka. This is Suzuka's first time filming a TV commercial in Okayama since he started his career as an actor.
The commercial begins on a hill with a nice view. Looking out over the scenery of Okayama, where he was born and raised, he talks about his own challenges, saying, ``The biggest challenge in my life was deciding to become an actor.'' When I found the Shinkansen, I looked back with embarrassment on the day I left for Tokyo, how my friends and family saw me off, and how I cried for three and a half hours on the Shinkansen ride to Tokyo.
When Suzuka visits a high school in Okayama Prefecture, when Suzuka enters the classroom, the students who didn't know he was coming cheer in surprise and joy. Mr. Suzuka writes ``Challenge'' in large letters on his blackboard to convey his thoughts on ``Challenge.'' The students listened intently as Ms. Suzuka said, ``Working hard for someone is a great source of motivation, and I think one day you'll be glad you took on the challenge.'' He got to know the high school students thoroughly and took a commemorative photo at the end. The commercial ends with the narration, ``Challenge makes someone feel better.'' ``Challenge and Change SUENAGA Group.''
This time, the commercial was filmed in a documentary style without much dialogue, allowing you to see Suzuka's natural facial expressions.

New CM shooting episode

The photo was taken in mid-July in Okayama Prefecture, and even though it was a hot day with a maximum temperature of over 35 degrees, Suzuka appeared on set with a refreshing smile. Since the filming was done locally, he maintains a relaxed look throughout.
Suzuka looked a little nervous before her surprise appearance at the high school, but when she heard loud cheers from the students, she smiled happily. Through a special class with the theme of "Challenge," I got to know the students, and at the end, we all CHILLI a commemorative photo together, shouting "Class L!" from the class we took this time. Mr. Suzuka himself seemed to enjoy interacting with the high school students.
Interview with Koji Suzuka

The fact that we were able to film this time in Okayama was huge. I personally enjoyed it. I was able to go to a place that I had a connection to, so I was able to take photos while feeling nostalgic, which I think was great. This time, I was photographed a bit like a documentary, and it was fun to see myself in a state that was so close to my true self, which gave it a completely different atmosphere than what I normally do.
First of all, I was happy. But when I first opened the door to the classroom, time stopped for about 3 seconds...I kept thinking, what if I didn't know who I was before I entered? So those three seconds were the scariest I've ever been. I thought, "Oh, it's over..." (lol). But I was happy that there were people who knew me from there and were like, "Wow!"
That's why I went to the beach today, and now I'm in the mountains. I went on bicycles with my high school friends, climbed mountains, went to the sea, and traveled far away, and now I feel like I was very young. School life itself was youthful just wearing the uniform and talking with everyone, and today I was actually playing catch with current high school students, and the energy and the atmosphere in the classroom alone made me feel youthful.
Today at school, when I asked, ``Is there anything you're trying to do?'' one of the students said that he was working hard on both the arts and martial arts, studying and judo. I also joined a club, and I was thinking that I would study hard and do both arts and martial arts. If you ask me if it was perfect, I think it was probably unbalanced. I realize now that I wish I had done more in both literary and martial arts. It wasn't until I became an adult that I realized how important it is to have both literary and martial arts, so I wanted to try to balance it with something else when I was in high school.
Surprisingly, I'm not good at giving surprises. I have once given a small surprise to a close friend, but when I was a student, I probably didn't do many surprises with everyone in class working together. But I remember being so moved when I had it done for me, so I think I'd like to try it. I want to celebrate the birthday of my favorite person with everyone.
Since it was filmed in Okayama, I think it's a commercial that gives you a nostalgic and warm feeling. Because it was filmed in my hometown of Okayama, I think the commercial shows a lot of my true self, so I'd be happy if you could watch it.
