Campaign “#Oi LA Otani-san” starts on May 20th,
delivering Japanese tea culture to the world
Oi Ocha (*), the world's No. 1 sugar-free green tea beverage brand developed by ITO EN Co., Ltd. (President: Daisuke Honjo, Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), is a global company with Los Angeles Dodgers player Shohei Otani. We have signed a contract Otani has been appointed as the "Oi Ocha Global Ambassador" and a new key visual has been released.
The main copy, ``Every day, there's tea by my side,'' is based on a new haiku used in a letter advertisement that became a hot topic on social media on April 30th. This phrase symbolizes Otani's long journey with "Oi Ocha."
As the "Oi Ocha Global Ambassador," Otani will work to disseminate Japanese tea culture to the world and contribute to the future of the earth through tea. As the first step, we will start the “#Oi LA Otani-san” campaign from May 20th (Monday). In this campaign, 25 groups of 50 people will be randomly selected to attend a baseball game in LA.

The new key visual depicts Otani wearing a white T-shirt relaxing in a tea plantation where the ingredients for "Oi Ocha" are grown. In his left hand he holds a bottle of ``Oi Ocha''. Along with the main copy, ``Every day, I have his tea by my side,'' there is also a new tagline that says ``He supports my mind and body.'' It also includes the Guinness World Records certification mark, and this visual will be displayed in stores, on social media, and in various advertisements.

I was just a fan of Oi Ocha, but I was honored to be given such a big role. When we announced our global contract with Oi Ocha on April 30th, I myself saw a newspaper advertisement in the LA Times and got a sense of the scale of this agreement. I was also surprised by the amount of feedback I got from social media and people around me.
The first activity as an "Oi Ocha Global Ambassador" is a campaign where everyone is invited by lottery to watch a game in LA. I would be happy if you could watch the game while drinking ``Oi Ocha'' at the stadium in LA.
In the future, as the "Oi Ocha Global Ambassador," I am preparing new initiatives such as projects to spread Japanese tea culture to the world and contribute to the future of the earth through tea together with people around the world. Everyone please look forward to it.

A newspaper advertisement will be published on Monday, May 20th to commemorate Shohei Otani's appointment as Oi Ocha Global Ambassador. This advertisement was also published in major newspapers in Japan and overseas, and included Otani's statement of beliefs.
