Nagano Bank Co., Ltd.

Nagano Bank, Ltd. (English: THE NAGANO BANK, LTD.) is the second regional bank with its head office in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. It mainly deals with individuals and small and medium-sized enterprises as its clients, and provides financial services mainly within Nagano Prefecture. It is commonly known as Nagagin, and when the bank uses it themselves, it is often written in hiragana.

Nagano Bank is a local financial institution within Nagano Prefecture, providing financial services for local businesses and residents. Outside of the prefecture, the Tokyo branch is set up in Kanda, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo.

Symbol marks and philosophy

The bank's corporate symbol mark is based on the initial "N" of Nagano Bank, and is designed to combine two ellipses, which symbolize the fusion of "region and bank" and "people and bank," into one towards the center. Furthermore, the company's corporate statement is based on the principle of "personal lifestyle and communication" and its philosophy is to develop together with the local community.

History

• December 7, 2015 - The Nagano Corporation Sales Department (Nagano City) was newly built and relocated to consolidate management resources and improve financial services, and was newly opened as Nagano Sales Department. As a result, the existing Nagano branch was merged.
• September 28, 2022 - Basic agreement regarding the business integration with Yasushini Bank has been announced, and resolution is passed at the board meetings of the two banks.
• June 1, 2023 - A share exchange was carried out with Yasushini Bank as its wholly owned parent company and Nagano Bank as its wholly owned subsidiary, and business integration.
• December 15, 2023 – It was announced that in January 2026, Yasoji Bank will absorb Nagano Bank and will rename the bank to Yasoji Nagano Bank.

Management policy and local contribution

Nagano Bank has been working to support its customers' main business and solve problems by utilizing its consulting functions that it has cultivated over many years. After merging with Yasushini Bank, the two banks have combined their strengths and strengthened their support for business partners through co-creation projects. We are also focusing on local contribution activities from the perspective of SDGs and ESG, such as seminars for improving financial literacy and food drive activities.

After the merger, Nagano Bank of Yabuni also plans to "contribute to the development of our customers and the region," and as a financial institution that will support Nagano Prefecture's future, it plans to work to create new value.
