Kanagawa Bank , Ltd. is the second regional bank with its head office in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, and is under the umbrella of Concordia Financial Group. It was established as a mutual bank in 1953 (Showa 28), and in 2023 (Reiwa 5), ​​it celebrated its 70th anniversary.

Since its founding, Kanagawa Bank has been operating as a local financial institution centered around Kanagawa Prefecture. The relationship with Yokohama Bank, the largest financial institution in the prefecture, is not a competition, but a coexistence relationship, and together with the Bank of East Japan and Shizuoka Central Bank, ATMs are mutually open to each other, allowing free transactions during weekday hours.

The basic philosophy is to not have stores outside of Kanagawa Prefecture and contribute to the development of the prefecture's economy. History

Kanagawa Bank was established in 1953 (Showa 28) and has been playing a role in regional finance within Kanagawa Prefecture for many years. In 2023 (Reiwa 5), ​​a tender offer (TOB) was carried out by Yokohama Bank, and was concluded on April 13th of the same year. Yokohama Bank acquired 84.63% stake, and on June 29th of the same year it was squeezed out and became a wholly owned subsidiary. As a result, Kanagawa Prefecture has shifted to the only "one prefecture, one group" system in the Kanto region.

Management policy and local contribution

Kanagawa Bank is strengthening its efforts to revitalize the local economy, and is working to strengthen its corporate support in light of the economic recovery after the transition to Class 5 of the COVID-19 pandemic.
