About BS Japan Co., Ltd.
BS Nippon Corporation (English: BS Nippon Corporation) is a satellite core broadcasting company that conducts BS digital broadcasting on the Nippon Television network, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nippon Television Holdings. The channel name is "BS NTV" (BS NTV) and the remote control key ID is "4". Since April 1, 2008, the abbreviation "BS4" has also been used in conjunction.
overview
BS Japan is one of the BS digital broadcasting stations, a commercial broadcasting station that opened on December 1, 2000. The name "BS NTV" was used from the start of the station's launch, but it was only two years and seven months after BS NTV began broadcasting that terrestrial TV Nippon Television officially adopted the abbreviation for "NTV."
This was the first BS digital broadcasting station to broadcast 24 hours a day, and when it first opened, it was broadcasting NNN24 (now NTV NEWS24) simultaneously for a long time during the day on weekdays. This was part of a strategy to keep program production costs down until BS digital receivers become more popular, and as a result, the cumulative losses were kept to the lowest level among the five commercial BS companies. Since then, with the increase in the number of programs, NNN24's simultaneous broadcasts have been reduced, and are now only arranged in the early hours and early morning hours.
Head office and delivery equipment
When the station first opened, its head office was set up in the Nippon Television Network Kojimachi Branch in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, and the delivery master was also located at the same venue. However, on March 3, 2014, the company moved its head office to Nippon Television Tower (Shiodome, Minato-ku, Tokyo) and moved to a newly installed delivery master. This makes it possible to operate multi-formatted formations.
Logo Brand
The BS Nippon Television logo uses the "Nanrou" common to the Nippon Television Group, and even after the change in the color scheme of the Nippon Television Group's corporate logo in July 2003, BS Nippon Television continued to use the old logo until March 31, 2008.
